Meet Our Orthodontists
Dr. Matt Paradisgarten DMD, Cert. Ortho, MsED, MDS.
Dr. Matt Paradisgarten grew up in Thornhill. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in biology at Princeton University in 2011 and went on to receive his degree in dental medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015. In dental school, he was selected as one of only 3 students to complete a concurrent Master’s of Higher Education. Upon graduating he was inducted into the prestigious OKU dental honour’s society. He also received an honour’s certificate for publishing his research related to herpes virus proteins. He received his specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s of Dental Science from Rutgers University in 2018.
During his time in residency, he taught orthodontics to dental students and completed research investigating the connection between orthodontic treatment and breathing capacity. He loves using his teaching and research backgrounds to keep up with the latest advances in orthodontics and give the highest quality care to his patients.

Dr. Kelvin Chen, DDS, MS, (ORTHO)
Dr. Kelvin Chen was born and raised in Toronto. After completing his undergraduate studies in Canada, he embarked on the next leg of his journey in the United States, where he completed general dentistry and specialty orthodontic training. He returned home following those years abroad and has been practicing orthodontics in Ontario since 2021.
Dr. Chen is fluent in English and Cantonese and is committed to serving the multicultural community he grew up in. His aim is to provide orthodontic care focused on patient needs, one smile at a time. When he’s not in the clinic, he enjoys reading, cycling, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Waseem Kassas, DDS, MSc, FRCD (C), Diplomate (ABO)
Dr. Waseem Kassas is a Canadian‑certified specialist in orthodontics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. After earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery, Dr. Kassas completed his specialty training along with a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University at Buffalo, USA.
Following graduation, Dr. Kassas was appointed as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University at Buffalo. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) in 2016. Dr. Kassas has extensive experience treating orthodontic cases, including the use of braces and clear aligners.
Outside the office, Dr. Kassas enjoys outdoor activities and travelling with his wife—who is also a dentist—and their three children.
